FLYZermatt - originally "Alpine Adventures Zermatt" Established 2006

Apr 23 - May 31

Spring paragliding in Zermatt.

Spring flights give the most variety of conditions. It can feel like summer one day and mid winter the very next, even fresh snow covering the whole valley over night, giving amazing photos and videos.

Strong thermal lift makes for great opportunities to stay in the air longer.

Jun 01 - Sep 31

Summer paragliding in Zermatt offers pleasant temperatures, clean alpine air and spectacular views of the towering 4000m peaks including the famous Matterhorn mountain.

Mornings are generally more predictable. Plan your flight for the earlier part of the day to minimize the risk of missing out.

Oct 01 - Nov 23

Autumn paragliding in Zermatt.

Enjoy gentle thermals and light winds, typical for this time of year, as the whole valley changes to Autumn colors now that summer is over.

Autumn flights are from the end of September until the end of November or until the snow arrives. (Whichever comes first.)

Nov 23 - Apr 26

Winter paragliding in Zermatt.

A winter wonderland. Enjoy the same spectacular views now covered in a blanket of snow.

During certain periods, flight times may be a little less due to the lack of thermal wind but this makes for smooth flying, often only a few meters above the ski slopes.

The Scenic

From Blauherd or Riffelberg

Approx 2600m (8,500ft)

Approx. 15min

Launching above the tree line at either Blauherd or Riffelberg, the “Scenic” flights are a great introduction to the beautiful Zermatt valley.

More often than not, we are able to soar the warm grassy slopes or impressive cliff faces to give longer flights.

Scenic flights start in summer, once enough of the winter snow at Riffelberg has melted and will finish in autumn, when there is too much snow to takeoff. Contact us 3-4 days prior to your early spring & late autumn flights for snow updates.

The Classic

From Rothorn, Gornergrat or Rotenboden

Approx 3100m (10,200ft)

Approx. 20min

Our most popular flights start from over 3000m, so you'll have plenty of time to enjoy the “Classic” Matterhorn view.

Try a smooth early morning flight with a chance to catch the first gentle thermals or start a little later for the thrill of soaring upwards like an eagle in the suns warm lift.

All year. (weather permitting)

The Classic flight takeoff changes through the year depending lift access & the amount of snow on the ground.

2019 summer & autumn will offer the "Gornergrat Glacier Classic" as the Rothorn lift is closed due to technical problems with the cablecar. The lift will re-open from December, 2019.

The Elite

From Matterhorn Glacier Paradise

Approx 3850m (12,600ft)

Approx. 35min

Matterhorn Glacier Paradise has the highest lift accessed takeoff in Europe and at just under 4000m it boasts one of the most spectacular 360° views over Switzerland, Italy and France.

Launching from the Glacier, you’ll be blown away by the huge crevasses, turquoise glacial pools and stunning terrain, normally only seen by the most advanced mountaineers.

This truly is the “Elite” experience of a lifetime.

All year. (weather permitting)

The Grand

From Rothorn to a select few restaurants

Approx 3100m (10,200ft)
